Yiannis Karagiannis

PhD Cand. / Associate Researcher / GIS Expert

Ioannis Karagiannis is the Head of GIS Office of ANKO Western Macedonia S.A., one of the most successful regional development organisations in Greece. His field of expertise is in the design, development and implementation of GIS systems, RDBMS systems, client – server and three-tier desktop and web applications. Over the past 25 years, he has used GIS software extensively, for the modelling, simulation and optimisation of solutions pertaining to the areas of spatial analysis, network analysis, location – allocation and geostatistics.
