Konstantina Nikolaidou represented ENTRA-Lab at the Conference on Sustainable Energy Education – SEED 2024 in Valencia, Spain from 3 – 5 July 2024. Konstantina presented the results of the Just4All project, focusing on the theme ‘Exploring partnerships between universities, industry, and governments to integrate Sustainable Development Goals.’
The paper presented, entitled “Exploring partnerships between universities, industry, and governments to integrate SDGs,” focused on important relationships between the university, industry, and policy makers in prioritization and attainment of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals at a local level. Within the ERASMUS Project, ‘Embedding EU Green Deal and Just Transition in Teaching and Learning-JUST4ALL,’ interviews were held with local stakeholders in Bulgaria, France, Greece, Spain, Cyprus, and Serbia to gather deep insights into the perspectives of the quadruple helix.
It further underlines major cooperative opportunities and contributions towards sustainable development in the future, including increased inter-university and inter-government cooperation; interdisciplinarity in research and education for SDGs; transformation of the system of academic career evaluation; and support of projects for sustainable development. Moreover, it advocates for green policy infusion into the curriculum, development of courses on sustainability, and practice of the circular economy.
We are proud of Konstantina’s insightful presentation and the contributions of ENTRA-Lab towards a greener and more sustainable future.
