The forum saw the participation of government officials, academic experts, business representatives, and members of the public administration, fostering dialogue on crucial energy transition topics.

The Balkan Energy Forum served as a platform for discussing key aspects of the ongoing global energy transition, particularly relevant for regions heavily reliant on lignite like Western Macedonia. It highlighted the need for a shift in production models and the utilization of various tools to address this historic challenge successfully.

The ENTRA-Lab actively participated in the Balkan Energy Forum, contributing to the discussions on energy transition, sustainable development, and environmental challenges. Dr. Lefteris Topaloglou played a pivotal role at the forum, moderating a thematic session focusing on the transition and developmental prospects of regions transitioning away from lignite.
