[vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”989″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]On March 12, 2025, the ENTRA-LAB Research Laboratory of the University of Western Macedonia hosted the inaugural meeting of the ISABEL project in collaboration with the Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia, which serves as the end user of the project’s results. This meeting marked a significant step in the partnership between the two entities, particularly in conducting the upcoming Living Labs planned in the next phases of the project.
Discussions focused on the socio-economic impact of job creation and destruction (JCD) in Western Macedonia and the contribution of the ISABEL project. The project will employ innovative tools such as artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs). Additionally, advanced solutions like the Digital Policy Writing Assistant (DPWA) and data visualization tools will be utilized to enhance policymaking and decision-making processes.
Participants analyzed key challenges in the regional labor market, including labor supply and demand mismatches, sectors with the highest growth potential, and the role of the www.ergasiapdm.gr platform.
The next steps involve collaborating with the Regional Development Fund to conduct the Living Labs and formulating effective strategies to facilitate labor market transition in Western Macedonia.
